Questions owners ask

The awkward questions, answered.

Cost, the law, what can and can't come down, and how long Google takes. If yours isn't here, email hello@reviewremoving.com and we'll reply within one working day.

Cost and payment

3 questions
How much does a removal cost?

£100 per review, and only when Google takes it down. If it stays up you pay nothing, and we never ask for money upfront. You're invoiced after removal, with proof the review has gone. All prices are on our pricing page.

What does the managed plan cost and include?

£200 a month. Every review answered within 24 hours, review requests sent to every customer, and a daily watch for sudden waves of bad reviews. Removals are still £100 each, only on success. Cancel with 30 days' notice. Managed reviews in detail.

What happens if Google refuses?

You owe nothing for that review. A first refusal is common, so where the case is sound we escalate and appeal before we stop. When we have run out of routes we tell you, and we suggest a public reply instead.

What can be removed

3 questions
Which reviews qualify for removal?

Reviews that break one of Google's published policies: spam or fake, never a customer, a competitor or ex staff member (conflict of interest), harassment or slurs, personal information, impersonation, the wrong business, extortion, and illegal content. Each is explained with an example on how it works, and our free checker gives a quick first read.

Can you remove any bad review?

No. A genuine review from a real customer stays up, however unfair it feels, and we won't report it. Genuine complaints get answered instead: a calm, specific public reply that shows the next customer how you look after people.

What if someone is demanding money to take a review down?

Don't pay and don't reply to them. That is extortion, and Google has a separate report for it. Send us the profile link and any messages, and we file Google's extortion report the same day. Our under attack page explains what to send.

How it works

5 questions
How long does Google take?

It varies, and we can't promise a timeframe. Some reviews come down within days, others take a few weeks, especially when a case needs an appeal. Google sets the pace, and we keep following up until there's an answer.

What if a removed review comes back?

We refile it free. You never pay twice for the same review.

Why pay you when I can flag it myself?

You can, and it's free. What we add is picking the right policy, writing up the evidence, escalating when Google says no, and following up until there's an answer. If you have the time, our checker will point you to the likely policy so you can try it yourself.

Do you need my Google password?

No, never. You add us as a manager on your Business Profile, which takes a couple of minutes. You stay the owner and can remove our access at any time. If anyone claiming to be us asks for your password, please tell us.

Why do you need my Google business link?

It's how we find your profile and the exact reviews. With it we can check each review against Google's policies before we reply to you.

Trust and the law

5 questions
Is this legal?

Yes. Reporting reviews that break Google's rules, replying to reviews, and asking every real customer for a review are all allowed. The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 made it unlawful in the UK to commission or publish fake reviews, or to present reviews in a misleading way, for example by hiding genuine negative ones. We do none of those things.

Do you ever buy or write reviews?

Never, at any price. We don't buy, write, swap or incentivise reviews. On the managed plan we send review requests to every customer, not just the happy ones, because asking selectively breaks Google's rules too.

Do you contact the people who left the reviews?

No. We report reviews to Google and, where you choose managed reviews, reply publicly on your behalf. We don't message, call or pressure reviewers.

Are you part of Google?

No. Review Removing is a YourFrontDesk service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. We use the reporting routes Google provides to every business owner, and Google decides on every review.

What do you do with my data?

We use what you send us, such as your name, email, business link and review links, to answer your enquiry and run your case. We don't use tracking cookies or analytics on this site, and we don't sell or share your details for marketing. The full detail is in our privacy notice.

Still deciding?

The first read is free and comes by email within one working day. If it isn't removable, we'll tell you, and suggest how to answer it.
