Remove fake Google reviews from your garage
Drivers pick a garage they have never used on trust, and much of that trust comes from your Google reviews. When the review is from someone who never brought a car in, we report it to Google under its own policies.
£100 per review, only when Google removes it. Nothing upfront, nothing if it stays. We reply by email within one working day.
The fake reviews we see most in your trade
Five fake reviews garages see most.
Each can break a Google policy when the facts back it up. Job cards, invoices and registrations are what make the case.
Never brought a car in
A repair, a price or an MOT with no job card, no invoice and no registration on your records.
Google policy: Fake engagementThe other garage with the same name
Chains and similar names mix up reviews. A branch, mechanic or job that is not yours belongs elsewhere.
Google policy: Off topicThe competitor up the road
A new account rubbishing your work and pointing readers to a named garage nearby.
Google policy: Conflict of interestKnock it off the bill, or I post
Refusing the agreed price and threatening a review to force it. Google treats that as extortion.
Google policy: Review extortionAbuse aimed at a named mechanic
Insults, slurs or threats aimed at a mechanic by name, even when the job was real.
Google policy: Harassment and hate speechNot sure about yours?

One review we would report. One we would answer.
Both reviews below are made up to show how we decide. Names and details are examples, not real customers.
A genuine complaint
Thank you Paul, you are right. We should have called before fitting the tyres, even though they were needed. Our rule is a call for anything over the quote, and we have gone over it with the team. Thanks for coming back to us.

Advice for garages
Good records win garage cases.
Garages often have the best evidence of any trade. Here is how to use it, and how to keep genuine complaints to a minimum.
- Your job cards are your evidence
Registration, date and invoice number are how we show Google someone never brought a car in. Keep them searchable.
- Call before going over a quote
A common genuine complaint is a bill that grew without a phone call. A quick call prevents it, and those that remain get a straight answer.
- Keep customer details out of replies
Even when a review is unfair, never post a registration, an invoice or a phone number in your reply. Report it and answer briefly.
- Ask when the keys go back
A text with your review link after collection, sent to every customer, builds a steady flow of honest reviews. Never offer money off for a good one.
What stays up
What we will not try to remove.
Genuine reviews from real customers are never removable. We will not try, and we will tell you so.
- A bill higher than expectedA real job, answered with the detail
- A car not ready on timeA genuine delay
- A fault that came backFair comment we help you answer
- A mechanic they found abruptOpinion about a real visit

Questions owners ask
Garage owners ask us this.
Someone reviewed us who has never brought a car in. Can it come down?
If no job card, invoice or booking matches, and the details do not fit your work, it may break Google's fake engagement policy. We file it with that evidence. You pay £100 only if Google removes it.
Our garage has a similar name to another one nearby. What can we do about their reviews?
A review that clearly describes another garage, such as a different road, a service you do not offer or a mechanic you do not employ, is off topic under Google's rules. We show Google what does not match.
A customer says they will leave one star unless we knock money off the bill. What now?
Do not discount under threat and do not argue under the review. Keep the texts or emails and send them to us. We file Google's review extortion report with the evidence laid out.
Will you remove a genuine complaint about a repair?
No. A real customer describing a real job stays up. On the managed plan we answer it within 24 hours with a calm reply that explains the work for the next driver reading it.
