Privacy notice
Your data, in plain English.
What we hold, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under UK data protection law. Last updated November 2026.
- No trackingThis site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising tags.
- Only what you sendWe hold what you choose to email us, and use it to answer you and run your case.
- Never soldWe don't sell your details or use them for anyone else's marketing.
Who we are
Review Removing is a YourFrontDesk service, and is the controller of the personal data described here. Email us about anything in this notice at hello@reviewremoving.com. We are not affiliated with Google.
What we collect automatically
This site is hosted by Vercel. Like almost every web host, Vercel's servers keep standard logs of requests made to the site: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser and device type as your browser reports them. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and we don't use them to identify or profile visitors. Vercel keeps them for a limited period under its own retention policy.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google's servers for the font files and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google's own privacy policy covers that data.
We don't set cookies, and we don't use analytics, advertising pixels or session recording.
What you send us
The case form on this site doesn't send anything to our server. It opens your own email app with your details filled in, and nothing reaches us until you press send. Whether you use the form or write to us directly, we receive what's in your email. That usually means:
- your name, email address, and phone number if you give one
- your business name and Google business link
- links to the reviews you're concerned about, and any notes, screenshots or messages you include
If you become a client we also keep records of the work we do for you, such as the reports we file with Google and Google's responses, and our invoices and payments.
People who left reviews
To check and report a review, we look at information that's already public on Google: the review, the reviewer's display name, and their other public reviews. We use it only to assess whether the review breaks Google's policies and to report it to Google. We never contact reviewers. If you left a review and want to ask about this, email us.
Why we use it, and the lawful basis
- Answering your enquiry: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, or steps you've asked us to take before entering a contract.
- Running your case or managed plan: performance of our contract with you.
- Invoices and accounting records: legal obligation, because tax law requires us to keep them.
- Server logs and security: our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and safe.
- Assessing and reporting public reviews: our legitimate interest, and yours, in reporting content that breaks Google's published policies.
We don't send marketing emails, and we don't use your data for automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
- Google, when we report a review on your behalf. We send only what the report needs.
- Service providers who host this site and our email, acting on our instructions.
- Professional advisers or authorities, where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK extension to the EU and US Data Privacy Framework or approved contract clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become cases: up to 12 months after our last message, then deleted.
- Client case records and correspondence: for as long as you're a client, then up to six years, so we can answer questions and claims.
- Invoices and accounting records: six years, as UK tax law requires.
- Server logs: as set by our hosting provider, for a limited period.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
- delete your data, where we don't need to keep it
- restrict how we use it, or object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interests
- send data you gave us to you or another organisation in a common format
Email hello@reviewremoving.com. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how we use personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Our terms of service cover how our services work.
